Chewbacca is a 2 year old purebred Yorkshire Terrier.  He weighs 7.8 pounds and is the perfect size to carry around. 

He was found by a kind person who took him in from the cold.  Unfortunately he was scared and was snapping at her 4 year old child so we took him into the rescue.

Chewbacca is great with adults and will do well with older children.  We don't know how he is with other dogs or cats yet.

He is being neutered tomorrow and the poor little guy is Cryptoric, which means only one testicle has dropped down.  He will need to be cut open for his surgery so his recovery time will be a little longer.

Chewbacca was covered in fleas and has missing fur all over his legs and ears.  He has been treated for the fleas and will need medicated baths twice a week until his hair grows back in.
