UPDATE FEB 18,2014:  Douglas is doing wonderful now.  He is in a great foster home and is being spoiled rotten.  Douglas LOVES other dogs and needs to be placed in a home with at least one other dog.  He is a very needy dog so it would be best if he could be with someone who is home more often.  He also requires a fenced yard, but cannot be left in the yard unattended because he will attempt to get over the fence to go find human companionship.

Douglas is a an adorable Valley Bulldog.  He is about 75% English Bulldog and 25% Boxer.  He has short legs and a bulldog body with a boxer face.  Douglas is 2 years old and was released to us by his owner.  One of the owner's friends alerted us to his condition and we went to investigate.  Douglas was not being fed and was never taken to the vet in the 2 years that they had him.

Right now Douglas is recovering at the vet's office.  He is full of whip and hook worms which would have killed him if not treated.  He is heartworm negative and we are waiting to hear about other tests.  He will be updated on his shots and neutered when he is well enough.

We are accepting applications for Douglas, but he will not be adopted out until he is cleared by the Vet.  He is the sweetest dog and loves to sit on your lap and give kisses.

Please fill out an application for Douglas if you would like to be considered to adopt.  We will be requiring a fenced yard for him to have potty and playtime. The rest of the time he will be an indoor dog and spoiled rotten.
