This puppy's name is Bear (he looks like a teddy bear, and has a very small white spot on tip of tail). We think his mother was a Pomeranian mix, but not exactly sure. Bear was rescued by a young man who was trying to help because the mother dog had 4-5 pups that were all on the verge of starvation. The previous owners were not taking care of them at all. The young man took him home, but cannot keep him. The poor thing was skin and bones with a bellyful of worms when they got him.
Bear has been wormed twice now and is feeling much better and now has a really good appetite. The vet agreed with the foster home that his age is (8 weeks) on 4/13/10. Bear weighed 4lbs and 15 ozs on his last vet visit. He is up to date on his age appropriate shots and they are working on trying to housebreak him. Bear loves attention and enjoys being held. He gets along well with other dogs and even cats (chases cats and barks at them wanting the cats to play). Right now Bear is really shy with new people, which is probably because of the neglect early in his life.
