COURTESY LISTING: Jane walked into a church in Carroll County, Va., nearly three weeks ago at the end of worship service, sporting a pretty pink bandanna and a green collar. Despite efforts to find her owner, no one has come forward and Jane needs a home of her own. She's a mature, short-legged Jack Russell Terrier, about 14 lbs., who loves to sleep in the bed and go for walks on a leash, where her ears and eyes are on the alert for any potential prey. She likes an occasional game with another dog, but will do best with being the only dog in her household as she starts fights when excited if not carefully supervised. She has been crated during the last three weeks and still barks some in the crate but is not destructive and quiets when she is sure she is alone. She is housebroke and apparently spayed; unsure of vaccine status. She's endeared herself to her foster mom, but unfortunately doesn't get along with the other female JRT (too much alike) in the household. Jane was recently introduced to a troop of Girl Scouts and did very well with them. She also came in contact with a cat and didn't pay any attention to it. So we can now say that she is good with children and cats!!
