Guinness is a 3 year old Chocolate Lab who is looking for his new family. He currently weighs 60.4 pounds.
He had a bad injury to his eye and the doctor said it had to be removed. The owner couldn't afford the surgery so we said we would take him in the rescue.
Originally it was thought he was attacked by a bob cat. When the X-rays were taken it was obvious that poor Guinness was shot in the eye with a shot gun. He was immediately taken for surgery to have his eye removed. He has over 65 pellets remaining in his head. We can not even begin to imagine how someone could do this to a sweet defenseless animal.
Guinness is getting his stitches out today and is ready for a foster or forever home. He is good with other dogs and is a gentle, loving boy.
If you would be interested in meeting him please fill out an application from our website.
