Poppy is a 1 1/2 year old terrier mix, she weighs 23 pounds.  This little girl was left behind when her family moved away.  One of our volunteers found her and took her into her home.  

Poppy is very sweet, she loves other dogs and kids.  She hasn't been around cats yet so we don't know how she would do with them.  This girl is high energy so she will need a fenced yard and will have to be watched when the front door opens because she will shoot out.  Poppy is house broken and very well mannered in the home.  

She does guard her food when she eats and will gobble it all down.  We are wondering if this is because she was left alone without food for a while and is afraid to lose it again.  We feel that she will slow down as she gets more comfortable in a permanent home.
