Dexter is a 2 year old Bassador (Bassett/Lab mix) he weighs about 45 pounds.  We don't mean to brag but he really is a perfect dog.  

Dexter is house trained, good with other dogs and kids.  He is small but strong like a Bassett so he could knock over a very small kid but definitely not on purpose.  We haven't had Dexter around cats, but seriously he is a human's dog.  He will follow you everywhere, he wants to be close to you and he has to sleep with you.  He loves men and women equally and gets attached quick.  

Dexter must have a fenced in yard.  He is an indoor dog but he likes to be able to hang in the yard and sun himself or play ball.  He will try to get out the door to explore if you are not careful so a fence is required.
