Charlie is a 1 year old purebred Dachshund.  He was rescued by a wonderful woman from going to the pound. 

We think that Charlie was abused by a man because when he sees men he barks and growls. He is ok with the dog he is living with now but gets jealous if she gets attention and he isn't.  His foster mom tested him with cats and he is afraid of them.  He does not chase them, he runs from them.

Charlie isn't 100% housetrained but almost, he needs to be taken out multiple times a day.  He would do better with someone who is home more often.

He likes his foster mom and he wants to sit in her lap whenever she sits down. He is taking some time to get used to strangers but he is slowly being socialized and making progress.  We haven't had him around children and feel he should be in an adult only home.

He did perfect in the bathtub and loved the water.  He is an early riser and likes to follow is foster mom around until she gets her cup of coffee.

Charlie is just now learning how to play with toys and is beginning to wag his tail.  He is still young so with time and patience we are sure we can get him to trust men again.
